Today I am very excited to bring the blog tour for KA Tucker’s newest, One Tiny Lie to you. And I got to interview her! Now, if you haven’t read Ten Tiny Breaths or One Tiny Lie, don’t worry, this won’t spoil anything!

1) Which was harder to write Ten Tiny Breaths or One Tiny Lie?

100% percent, One Tiny Lie.

I struggled with that story to the very end. The pace killed me.

2) Was one sister particularly harder to write than the other?

Livie was so much harder to get right than Kacey. Writing the broken, sarcastic-as-all-hell older sister came easily to me. But I knew Livie had to have a different kind of voice. She’s a good girl but she has a spark. She’s innocent but she has experienced a lot. She’s insanely accepting but she can be rubbed the wrong way. Developing her through her path of self-discovery was extremely tricky.

3) Was there more of a challenge in writing Ashton as opposed to Trent? If not, why?

LOL, Yes. Oh, yes. Trent was the sexy guy with a good heart from the beginning. He had his goal (Kacey and nothing else). Ashton, though… you love him but hate him, you hate him, you hate him more because he can be a real jerk, and then… bam! at about 50% the tables turn drastically and you start rooting for him (at least, I did!). I didn’t want it to be an easy attraction or decision for Livie and Ashton had his own internal struggles for why he shouldn’t be with Livie. All in all, it was complicated to bring them together.

4) Now we had the two sisters’ stories, but are there any more books? Or more projects in the works?

Yes, there are two more books in this series. Book 3, called Four Seconds To Lose, is Cain’s story. It’s duo POV between him and a new leading lady. Due out this November. The fourth book is Ben’s story, also duo POV. Untitled and due out in 2014.

5) And now for something fun, in an ala Livie-style, tell me about a wild and crazy night. And any bad repercussions from it!

Oh, God. I will NOT admit to any of those nights. I will admit to an exceptionally awkward experience though. It was during Frosh week (my junior year of University). We were downtown at this grungy college bar that opens up at noon during Frosh week to serve drunken students pitchers of cheap beer. Needless to say, I had more than my share of beer, as did everyone else. Everyone except this extremely attractive guy who showed up. He kept getting more attractive as the afternoon progressed (impossible, right? Oh, the power of beer googles…). Anyway, at one point, I was compelled to walk straight up to him and tell him he was the most gorgeous guy I’ve ever seen in my entire life. He stared at me–speechless. I walked (er…stumbled) away right after. It would have been fine, had the guy not turned out to been friends with some people in my group. As the afternoon progressed, the bar closed, we left for some other activities (with said guy tagging along). And that’s when I started to sober up… and up… and up… until I was sitting on the grass at this student event that evening, dead sober, not three feet away from this guy, mortified. Oh, and it wasn’t just the beer googles. This guy was actually gorgeous (one of those guys who turns heads? Yeah…).

Anyhow, I was planning my escape to a cool, dark hole, where I could nurse my pride, when he asked me to go for a walk. He turned out to be a super-nice guy and we were laughing about it all later.

I still shake my head at myself for that day…

Awesome! And can I just say I am CRAZY excited for more books! Now, add and buy the book with all of these lovely links!
